During the final check, Aviator watches passes the water-resistance control as marked on the back case of the watch. However, the water-resistance of a watch is not permanent due to natural wear of the gaskets or accidental knocks to the case and crown. Therefore, the water resistance of your watch has to be regularly checked once per year by an authorized Aviator Service Center.
Before the contact with water:
- Ensure that the crown is pressed back into position 0, or with screwed crowns, that it is screwed back carefully
- Do not use push button functions under water.
To undergo the watch-resistance test you may want to contact one of our authorized service centers.
